I have been very fortunate to have built and sold several businesses over the last 20 years. Like many of you, I know the ups and downs of building a business and the sacrifices that you and your families have made to get to where you are today.
Although I built my companies alongside many great co-founders, employees and investors, when it came time to sell each business, I was largely on my own to figure out the exit process.
Through these M&A experiences, I’ve learned what it takes to not only maximize the sale of a business, but I’ve also learned how to structure agreements with the right buyers to allow business owners to benefit from the continued growth of their business while allowing existing employees to thrive under new ownership.
For the last 5 years, I’ve dedicated my time to helping my fellow founders succeed in the M&A process. By assembling the best teams of industry specialized, M&A experts from around the world for each business owner, we’ve created some fantastic exits. Although helping sell one company at a time has been very rewarding and I’ve made life-long friendships, in the back of my mind I always knew that I had to find a way to make the M&A process more successful for as many business owners as possible.
